Peter Leek
As Technical Director for CDM services Peter brings to the team his extensive knowledge and background in delivery of CDM services. Peter has been involved with CDM and Safety in Design since 1994 and further back in general health and safety consultancy on projects involving national distribution centres, warehousing, mixed-use developments, property and land development, multi-storey car parks and public spaces for clients such as Henry Boot Developments, Town Centre Securities, Lateral Property Group and Wm Morrison Supermarkets. Peter has also extensive experience working at the University of York, University of Bradford and University of Leeds. With a strong background in CDM delivery in retail Peter is experienced with working on extremely demanding fast-track schemes across the UK.
Peter’s strengths lie in higher and further education facilities, scientific and technical facilities, private and NHS hospitals, food and non-food retail, warehousing and storage, data centres, defence and high security facilities on projects ranging from £<100k to over £1bn for companies including Turner & Townsend Group, EC Harris and Rex Procter & Partners.
Outside of work Peter is a very keen amateur photographer and technophile and is passionate about all things defence but particularly military aviation. Any spare time is taken up power walking along the stunning Yorkshire coastline.
