Daniel Storey
Daniel is our Building Surveying Technical Director who manages a team of eight dedicated building surveyors. He has over 20 years’ experience of designing, managing, and delivering projects, in both the public and private sectors.
Daniel is a Chartered Building Surveyor with APM accreditation.
He started his career working in local authority, within a Property Services team where he delivered a number planned maintenance and minor works projects for the Council’s housing stock, using traditional contracts.
Daniel has gained valuable experience within the private sector whilst a partner within a building surveying practice. Amongst the list of clients were local authorities, Universities as well as commercial clients including Mercedes-Benz Trucks and The Body Shop. Daniel also managed a team of surveyors who completed Access Audits of schools and public buildings for, Middlesbrough Council, Newcastle City Council, Gloucestershire County Council, University of Sunderland as well as completing the Access Audit for Durham County Cricket Club.
Over the past 10 years Daniel has worked predominately within the education sector where he has successfully led and delivered a variety of school projects along with project managing an annual £4m planned maintenance programme.
Outside of work, Daniel is a dedicated Level 2 coach at his local cricket club helping the club’s junior sides improve their skills and techniques. He occasionally pulls on the whites however his body struggles more and more with the recovery time.
