Andrew Bardon
As Technical Director, Andrew manages the Quantity Surveying Function working on a wide range of Private and Public Sector Projects.
Andrew is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, holds First Class degrees in Quantity Surveying and Business & Finance and has the Full Practitioner Qualification from the Association of Project Managers (APM).
Andrews’s expertise in Quantity Surveying has led him to both educational awards and the publication of education technical journals.
Andrew has been with the company since 2006; his enthusiastic, committed and positive approach has led him to progress through all ranks of the Quantity Surveying team, and was rewarded with the position of Technical Director in 2016.
Andrew has led and successfully delivered a multitude of projects, principally using the JCT and NEC suites of contracts. Specific schemes include; undertaking the role of Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager on the extension and refurbishment of North Yorkshire County Councils Grade II listed headquarters building, the construction, refurbishment and extension of schools and school buildings, new “Blue Light” service facilities, National Parks and outdoor centre properties, residential properties, leisure and agricultural buildings and waste transfer stations.
Andrew has procured a variety of works and consultant frameworks and leads a team of surveyors to undertake a £2,000,000,000 Reinstatement Cost Exercise annually.
Andrew is an active RICS supervisor encouraging aspiring Quantity Surveyors to undertake the Assessment of Practical Competence (APC) to achieve their MRICS status.
Outside of work, Andrew is a fitness enthusiast, undertaking many national and international half-marathons, marathons and iron-man competitions.
It is a reassurance for all clients that’s Andrews’s numeracy skills are second to none, spending most nights reciting the 1-12 times tables with his young family at home.
