Meet Align’s new commercial agency director Daniel Clinch
Meet Daniel Clinch – who has just started his new role as commercial agency director for Align Property Partners.
The 37-year-old steps up from his previous role as head of commercial agency, working as a full-time consultant helping the team grow and expand since he joined the company in 2022.
In charge of a talented team, Dan runs Align’s commercial agency business – acquiring, selling and letting out a wide range of assets including office space, industrial, retail and development sites nationally.
As well as building and maintaining a strong network of external clients and partners, Dan’s primary role is working with property colleagues at North Yorkshire Council to ensure his delivery reaps maximum return for the authority.
“Looking at property assets with an open mind is key when trying to maximise value on behalf of your clients,” Dan said.
“I absolutely love my job, we’ve had some amazing results and have a great relationship with all our clients. In our industry, you are only as good as your last deal and reputation is everything.
“For my job, you need to have a keen eye for detail, be creative and be able to think on your feet.
“We’re dealing in millions, and when you’re dealing in millions every minor detail is vital. What I’m good at is building relationships, bringing in work and delivering results.
“It’s a hugely satisfying job, helping to strategically organise and release assets, delivering capital receipts and tenants for our clients when they need them most.”
Dan’s illustrious career to date, spanning two decades, started on Humberside as a commercial agent in the private sector.
He then went on to head up a commercial agency in Leeds, before setting up his own firm.
After the pandemic hit, Align approached him to be a consultant – and the rest is history.
“I’m looking forward to continue to play a big part in Align’s growth,” he said.
