Larger office space secured to facilitate ambitious Durham growth
Align is expanding its footprint in Durham after securing a larger office space following a successful 21-month residence.
We are involved in a series of exciting projects in and around Durham, and have 12 members of staff now located at Salvus House.
The team will be remaining in the same building but have now secured a larger office space on the first floor to facilitate our ambitious growth.
The move is expected to be completed later this month.
Our managing director, Ron Walton, said: “It’s fantastic that we have been able to continue to expand our office in Durham while remaining at Salvus House, which has been one of our bases since July 2024.
“The new facilities will provide a quality environment for the team who are working on a wide range of projects, complimenting the fantastic work that is also going on in our other offices in Northallerton, Kendal, Cockermouth and Otley.
“Ever since we were founded in 2016, we have been a team with big ideas and aspirations. We are passionate about quality, sustainable development – and this commitment has seen us recognised on a national level.
“We will continue to work together to try and make a positive difference to local communities by working with our clients in both the public and private sectors.”
Our multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors and sustainability experts have over a decade of experience, completing more than 1,000 projects worth £500 million across multiple sectors.
Among those to have recently joined our team in Durham is associate civil and structural engineer Andrew Snowball.
He said: “I’ve been with Align for four months now and split my time between the Durham and Northallerton offices. Working in Durham is great, the office is located just on the outskirts of the city centre with a lovely woodland walk into the city.
“It’s an exciting time for the business, and we are looking forward to moving to the larger space in Salvus House.
“This move shows our clear commitment to continuing to grow our presence in Durham, not just in terms of the office space but also investing in people and expanding our ability to service existing and new clients across the North of England.”
