Align host seminar with industry experts about biodiversity net gain

Align’s sustainability team have hosted a compelling seminar assessing the future of ecological development.

Held on Thursday, the event arranged by Align saw a range of industry experts including environmental organisation CSX Carbon, NexGen, Zenergy and colleagues from North Yorkshire Council come together at Northallerton’s Golden Lion Hotel.

The seminar saw a range of organisations join to discuss biodiversity net gain, exploring how they can retain and enhance wildlife habitats, optimise the environmental value of land, and work together towards achieving net zero.

CSX Carbon also delivered a presentation showing how advanced data tools can be used to help allow local authorities, businesses and landowners to plan, monitor and track ecological interventions and carbon offsets.

Operations director at Align, Mark Hall, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do and our efforts in promoting greener, more energy efficient outcomes have received regional and national praise.

“It’s important that we continue to embrace new technology while working with local authorities, businesses and other companies.

“Events like this are invaluable in learning how other organisations work, sharing ideas and best practice on areas that we are all passionate about.”
