A team of Align employees have been shooting for glory

A team of Align employees have been shooting for glory – all in the name of charity.

Our eight-strong team made the short trip to Middlesbrough on Wednesday to compete in the Business Fives Tees Valley tournament.

There they locked horns with a number of other local businesses, with the aim of being crowned regional champions.

The coveted competition was all for a good cause, with our staff raising money for Pendragon Community Trust whose multi-sensory centre in Northallerton provides a safe space for vulnerable adults, children and their families.

The Align team more than held their own on the day, coming top of their group!

And their efforts saw them raise more than £400 which will help support local adults and children who have additional learning needs.

Sustainability apprentice Joel Bint was among those to pull on their boots and represent Align at the tournament.

He said: “This was a great opportunity to raise some money and show our support for a fantastic charity based here in Northallerton. Pendragon do such an amazing job supporting local people.

“We reached the quarter-finals at last year’s tournament so we hoped to go one better this time around which we did! Not only did we smash our fundraising goal, we reached the final of our group!

“It was a pleasure to be involved. At Align, we place community at the heart of everything we do – so it was brilliant to be able to support a good local cause while promoting team-building and positive networking through sport.”

Julia Downes, centre manager at Pendragon Community Trust, said: “We were delighted to have been selected by Align as their chosen charity to receive funds from their football tournament and donations from a Just Giving page they set up on our behalf.

“Pendragon are a multi-sensory centre in Northallerton supporting adults and children with disabilities and rely on local community and business support. We cannot thank Align enough for their kind generosity.”

You can show your support by helping to raise money for such an important cause by donating to our JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/page/align-property-partners-1.
